A Hub Diary of Self-Motivation: Newly Updated!
74
Hello everybody! It's been awhile since I've been on HubPages, and believe me I've missed it. I'm back now and I'll be posting once every few days at least. Including right here on my brand-new Hub Diary of Self-Motivation! During the first thirty days or so of the 60dc2, I kept a log about how the challenge was going and about some of the cool hubs I had come across along the way. Similar to what I plan to do here. It was nice for me because it helped me keep track of how many hubs I was posting versus how many days I was online and all that jazz. Which, if you got the hint from Calvin over there, ties into my writing resolution for 2011. Write more. Slack less. Simple and very non-original I digress, however I plan to valiantly soldier through at least one full year of regular posts here on HubPages and magically become the perfect writer I was destined to be! Ok, not perfect, but I'll settle for better. Better is always good right? Yay improvement!

Hey guys! 'Betcha you all thought I was gone huh? No I'm still here :) school has been keeping really tied up, plus I've been doing a bit of writing for work as well. Now that summer is coming up though I'll be shooting some more hubs your way pretty regularly, so make sure to stop by and dust off my profile page in a week or two.
Missed you guys!

Hey everybody! Yes I know it's been awhile but good things have been happening and I've been keeping busy. I recently went down to the Caribbean for a one week vacation with my family and had an awesome time, the perfect refresher for a grueling week of pre-finals stuff. Thanks to everyone who has been contacting me and commenting on my Hubs, I do enjoy the attention lol. I will be posting again probably towards the end of March once finals are over and I have some breathing time. Until then, cheers!

Merry Christmas everybody! Ordinarily I wouldn't be posting today, but contrary to our normal mode of busyness, things are quiet and calm. Perfect for catching up on writing projects. One of which makes its debut today. My first fiction piece that I've ever posted on HubPages is now up. Titled, "Working Dame," it is an experimental web serial that follows the story of Caroline "Lina" Griffin. The only daughter of a wealthy stock holder, she has had all she could ever want in life. One fateful day, her father breaks some terrible news that will change her life forever. It's the eve of the Great Depression.

Can anyone believe that Christmas is this saturday!?! I sure can't. I guess that's why I'm joining the rest of America's procrastinators and going Christmas shopping today. Usually my family doesn't wait this long to get things done, but this year really snuck up on us all. The tree is up and decorated though, and a full carton of eggnog is ready in the fridge *smiles proudly*!
According to my mom however, this is the year that I am beginning my downward spiral into aged senility. I was so busy with work and school that I couldn't think of anything I wanted for Christmas. So I guess that means I'm old now. It's funny to me though, because people spend so many years as kids anally planning out what they want for Christmas, making sure every little detail is mapped out. At least I did that. So I could never understand it when my parents said they didn't know what they wanted! It didn't make sense in my logical six year old brain that they could possibly not want anything when Santa was ready to drop it from the sky for free! But yes, I suppose I'm old now. I have to throw a Christmas list together before we leave to ensure that my little brother doesn't convince my parents that I've been dying for a tin of Yugi-Oh! cards.
Speaking of little brothers, if you aren't familiar with Mekaider here on HP, then you really need to check out her work. She recently posted a short story called "The Hero" that anyone who has a younger sibling will appreciate. She is a very talented creative writer that I've been following for about three or four months now. Once you start reading her work, you are really going to get hooked.
That concludes my post for today guys, I might be able to come back and add more later, but as I said, CHRISTMAS AWAITS!

A few days ago I was reading one of my favorite writing blogs, the Procrastinating Writers Blog, and I came across an announcement for a free writing webinar (website + seminar = webinar). Entitled, "The Better Writing Habits Challenge," it will be hosted by the blog's creator, Jennifer Blanchman, and the creator of the blog Writing it Sideways, Suzannah Freeman. The challenge kicks off January 1st, 2011 and lasts for the entire month. To take a closer look at what the webinar will be covering, and how to sign up, click here. I will be participating in the challenge as well as posting about it along the way. Part of the whole kicking myself in the rump sort of thing haha.
